Privacy & POPIA

How we handle your information.

Omnitrace is committed to the lawful processing of personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

Information we collect

When you contact us via a form or CTA on this website, we collect the name, phone number, email address, province, service requested and message you provide. Our server also records the referring page, IP address and browser user-agent for security and rate-limiting purposes.

How we use it

We use your information to respond to your enquiry, provide the investigation service you commission, communicate about your case, and meet legal record-keeping obligations. We do not sell your data.

Where it goes

Form submissions on this site are routed to an internal secure messaging channel used only by Omnitrace staff, and to our internal case management. We do not share your information with third parties except where required by law or with your explicit instruction (for example, to work with your attorney).

How long we keep it

Enquiry data from prospects who do not become clients is retained for up to 12 months and then destroyed. Client case data is retained for the period required by law, then securely destroyed.

Your rights

You may request access, correction or deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing consult@omnitrace.co.za. We respond to POPIA data-subject requests within the statutory timeframe.

Security

The website uses HTTPS. Our submission endpoint uses CSRF tokens, input validation, and rate limiting. Case files are stored in access-controlled systems.

This is a plain-language summary. For a full Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA) manual and detailed POPIA notice, contact consult@omnitrace.co.za.
